Digital twin for energy management
Sustainability projects have been on the agenda of German and European ports for some time now.
One of the reasons is that the constant loading and unloading of cargo and container ships releases large amounts of CO₂ into the environment. Many port operators have set themselves the goal of making this process as climate-neutral as possible. To enable emissions to be captured, a data integration platform was implemented at a container terminal to provide all the data required for effective energy management via a digital twin.
In addition to predictive monitoring, energy management also encompasses the control of energy-intensive processes.
